A Million-Dollar Dispute Comes To End

Latest reports point out to the absolution of Microsoft and Samsung over a million dollar dispute. The dispute was over selling of android devices.
The royalty fight comes to an end:
Microsoft and Samsung seem to have absolved from a legal fight. It refers to royalty payments for android devices. However, the terms of settlement remains unheard of.
In 2014, Microsoft sued Samsung for the latter failing to make payments as per a cross-licensing agreement. This is associated with patents used in Android devices.
Samsung termed the contract as unviable after Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia's mobile division.
Reports say, “Samsung and Microsoft have willingly decided to end their legal dispute in the U.S. court and ICC arbitration. The terms of agreement remain confidential.”
It was in 2011, when the 2 companies entered a patent contract. As per this contract, Samsung agreed to compensate Microsoft as royalty payments for selling of each Android phone. As per the lawsuit, Samsung owed $6.9 million of interest.
It's still not specified about Samsung’s dues to Microsoft for each sold device. However, the total royalty payments in 2013 were $1 billion.

The one to the extreme left resembles traditional version of Galaxy S6. The one on extreme right reminds of the Galaxy Note Edge with a curved edge.
If you carefully notice, the smartphone 2nd from the right shows a dual-screen with curved edge.
In September 2014, Galaxy Note Edge was launched. It was unlike anything extraordinary. The device consists of 2 screens with a Quad HD display (2,560 x 1,440). Control A Tesla Car From Your Apple Watch?

Well, well, well. Now here’s a piece of news which is more interesting than Justin Bieber’s Believe. (You could believe me!)

If you ever dreamt about controlling your car through a watch, then this news might cause you to holler!

Control a Tesla through your wrist!
Eleks, a developer situated in Ukraine, is working on a mechanism which will enable Tesla's "Insane Mode" right through your new Apple Watch!

The wait endures…
The mechanism is not functional yet. The Apple Watch will be available only after April. “However, a working concept showing how a watch could remote-control a Tesla is already out,” says one developer associated with the mechanism’s development.

Once available, you will be able to control certain basic functions of a Tesla Model S from your Apple Watch.

"In order to make the app functional on a real Tesla, it only requires us to add authentication. This will then redirect the app to the actual backend,’’ says the developer who wished not to be named.

The other side of the coin-
Having said all, WatchKit does have crucial limitations. The access to Apple Watch accelerometer, gyroscope, Taptic Engine and the device's built-in speaker remains a question.

The team further voiced its frustrations over limited functions, "Creating a fully functional app for Apple Watch to make it compatible with current SDK version is difficult."

However, certain rudimentary functions displayed on the app for Tesla seem exciting for owners. This includes ability to lock as well as unlock the car and turning on the headlights. Also you will be able to monitor the car’s temperature, mileage as well as battery life!

On the contrary-
If the Apple Watch mechanism becomes a hit, it could create a dent in Apple's own CarPlay mechanism before it reaching to most cars.

Whichever way, Apple wins.
